The GO Project Youth Ministry Mission Program July 22 – August 2

Date and Time: July 22, 2015 at 9:00 AM

The GO Project is an exciting youth ministry program, happening right here at St. James this July and August!!

From July 22nd to August 2nd groups of youth from across Canada will gather together here at St. James. The young people, aged 13 (entering Grade 9) to 19 years, and their leaders will come together for 11 days, exploring community programs in the St. John’s area. The young people will live together in intentional community at St. James, cooking, praying, volunteering and discerning together how and where God is calling. During the 11-day program participants will have the opportunity to volunteer at various mission sites around the city. We will be partnering again this year with local organizations such as Gower Street Lunches, Ronald McDonald House, Stella Burry Corp, and many other groups that are making a difference in the community.

Last year’s St. John’s GO Project was a huge success, mainly because of the great and varied support that we received from the St. James community. We are excited to be back again this year!

To ensure the program’s success, we rely on the support of the congregation. There are a number of ways you can help out!

The GO Project needs YOU!

We really appreciate any and all support that is provided to the program! Below are some of the ways you can help out.

Volunteer Driver – There are many sites we will be visiting – the more drivers we have, the easier it will be to transport us from site to site.

Donated baked goods – For participants to enjoy as snacks! Please drop off at the church (labeled “GO PROJECT” and with ingredients) from July 22nd – August 2nd.

Laundry Services – Looking for volunteers to pick up laundry and bring it back clean and dry the next day.

Cabin – We are looking to spend one or two nights outside of the city as a staff team for our debriefing, during the week of August 4th – 7th.
